CleanYourTV on BenQ
How CleanYourTV works on BenQ TVs: 6 tested model lists, the packages contributors disable most often, and what to watch out for.
6 BenQ lists in the official repository. If your exact model is below, the assistant can start from its list; if not, the closest one in the same series is a good start.
The BenQ E55 TVs sold in Taiwan are built by Changhong (Android model name “AI PONT”), the same platform sold as CHiQ, and their factory packages use the com.homwee prefix; the newer E55-760 adds Changhong’s com.gdch packages too. The other three lists cover BenQ’s projector side: the GV32 portable projector and the QS01 and QS02 Android TV dongles that plug into BenQ projectors, which have no HDMI or tuner inputs of their own.

A package being common does not make it right for your TV. Each list starts with a header that names the packages that must stay on for that model, such as those behind HDMI inputs, the remote and settings.
Applying your list by hand
TV_HOST=<tv ip> tools/disable.sh examples/benq-e55-735/debloat.txt
TV_HOST=<tv ip> launcher/build-and-install.sh
Swap in your model’s folder. To undo it, run tools/restore.sh with the same list; on Google TV add the stock launcher com.google.android.apps.tv.launcherx as the second argument.
BenQ questions
Does CleanYourTV work on BenQ?
Yes, on models that run Android TV or Google TV. Contributors have tested 6 BenQ models so far.
How do I remove ads from my BenQ TV?
Turn on USB debugging, then run the CleanYourTV prompt in an AI coding assistant on a computer on the same Wi-Fi, or apply your model’s list by hand. The how-to guide has every step.
Which BenQ packages are safe to disable?
The table on this page shows what contributors disabled most often, with their notes. Packages that keep inputs, the remote, settings or the Play Store working are left on. Always keep the list you applied so you can restore it.
Can I undo it?
Yes. Run the restore script with the same list; see how to restore. The TV’s own Settings → Apps page can also re-enable packages.
