Free My TV
Free My TV is another open-source, ad-free home screen built with Claude Code. It shows a glass shelf of your apps, three trending picks every hour from apps you already have, the weather and an optional markets card, and switches between light and dark with your local sunset. Its README says it covers Google TV, LG and Samsung, installs in about ten minutes with an AI assistant, needs no root and has one button to restore the factory home.
Aerial
Aerial is a tvOS-style Android TV home screen made for Chinese-market TVs from brands such as Xiaomi and TCL, with Apple TV aerial screensavers. It takes over at boot and is built not to be killed in standby. Unlike CleanYourTV it publishes a ready APK on its releases page.

Can I just install a launcher from the Play Store?
